To celebrate Europe Day on May 9, mixed team of MEPs, diplomats from European embassies in Bulgaria and their friends, under the leadership of Slavi Binev stood ground against the deputies from all parliamentary groups of the National Assembly.
Match went quite challenged by some participants, even blood shed in the name of victory.
On the "English Meadow" the British Judge Jason Moulan managed impartially the meeting which ended 4:2 for the National Assembly team.

On the friendly match between teams of Levski and the Greek team Larissa daughters of our deputy in the European Parliament Slavi Binev - Mirslava and Elena, again showed brilliant game. Two graces of Neshka Robeva successfully follow the road to the highest podium in rhythmic gymnastics, on which we all wish them every success.

Bulgarian MEP Slavi Binev personally met with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday in the building of the European Parliament in Brussels at the personal invitation of President Buzek. Immediately following a speech in the plenary hall, Joe Biden met with some of the most eminent personalities of the EP, including the Presidents of the European political groups Joseph Dole (EPP), Michael Kaminsky (ECR), Slavi Binev (NI), Lothair Biski (GUE), Rebecca Harms (Greens), Francesco Speroni (EFD) and Martin Schulz (S&D).
The attendants made personal addresses to the Vice President of the United States and had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views on climate change and development of relations between the European Union and the United States.
