Slavi Binev proclaimed Archon Metropolitan Galaktion revives the brilliance of the Bulgarian Archonship
According to the ritual of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, carried out by His Eminence, the Metropolitan Galaktion of Stara Zagora in the eternal city of Rome, by the grace of God and the bishop’s will and highly entitlement, the highest noble and aristocratic title, “Archon” was respectfully granted to Mr. Slavi Binev.
According to the will of the US cardinal Bernard Low, the symbolic act took place at the great cathedral “Santa Maria Maggiore” where in 868 Pope Adrian II blessed the ecclesiastic books in Slavonic language brought to him by the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius and thus, proclaimed to the world that he acknowledged that the Bulgarian script and language are merited for the church liturgy and the dissemination of the words of God.

05/06/13 -Slavi Binev met with Patriarch  Neophyte Slavi Binev with a group of MEPs from EFD visited the building of the Holy Synod at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte, head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and were welcomed by some bishops - His Grace Bishop Dometian, His Eminence the Metropolitan Varna and Veliki Preslav Cyril. Their conversation was devoted to spirituality and issues to be addressed by European Union.
Then MEPs had the opportunity to see the Orthodox Church "St. Alexander Nevsky "and learn about the history of the building, as His Reverence Archimandrite Dionysios accompanied the august guests.
