In periods 13-16 March, the President of the European Chess Union (ECU) Silvio Danailov, the MEP Slavi Binev and the former world chess champion Garry Kasparov will attend a session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg concerning the ECU project "Chess in School". As it is known, written declaration No. 50/2011 on the introduction of chess into the educational system of European schools was supported by MEPs from all political groups, but at this session it remains to be collected only 3 signatures in order to it be adopted by the European institution .

Control took place with in the hall of Neshka Robeva for the National Championship - category Elite, which will be held on 30 and 31 March in Sofia

On 3 and 4 March was held an international tournament "MelisanidisCup" in FIG Cyprus - Nicosia. It was attended by over 120 athletes from Russia, Israel, Greece, Lithuania, Estonia, Malaysia, Hungary and Cyprus. Elena Bineva ranked sixth with the hoop, the sixth with the bats and the seventh on ribbon among the 28 players her age.
