On October 26 archon Slavi Binev visited the Diocese of Vidin at the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Dometian. With a solemn mass in the church "St. Dimitar" was recorded also the official celebration of the city.

On 26 - 10 - 2008 – The day of Saint Dimitar, Archon Slavi Binev attended at the feast of the Cathedral of Vidin “St. Dimitar” by the invitation of the Metropolitan Dometian from Vidin. After the traditional ceremony he was guest at the opening of Social Eparchy Center to the Bishopric in the monastery “St. Uspenie Bogorodichno” in Vidin.

Slavi Binev presided at the European Prayer Breakfast – an informal group at the European Parliament, at which participated some eminent Euro deputies as Ari Vatanen, Malkolm Harbour, Gisela Kallenbach and John Purvis.

Mr. Binev was the first Orthodox Church’s representative, who stated his interpretation of a biblical text, chosen by him:
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”.
